Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and passionate Cosmetic Chemist to join our Skincare & Beauty Research & Development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the formulation, development, and testing of cutting-edge skincare and beauty products from concept to launch. Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and develop innovative skincare and beauty products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct stability testing, performance evaluation, and safety assessments on new and existing formulations.
  • Research and evaluate new raw materials, active ingredients, and emerging technologies to enhance product efficacy and consumer appeal.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, packaging, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product development from concept to commercialization.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, and manage project timelines effectively.
  • Troubleshoot formulation challenges and propose creative solutions to achieve desired product attributes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and scientific advancements in cosmetic chemistry.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cosmetic formulation and product development, specifically with skincare or beauty products.
  • Strong understanding of cosmetic raw materials, emulsion technology, and formulation principles.
  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques, analytical instrumentation, and quality control procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for cosmetic products (e.g., FDA, EU regulations).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Cosmetic Science or a related field.
  • Experience with scale-up and technology transfer processes.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and natural ingredient sourcing.
  • Strong project management experience within an R&D setting.
