Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Customer Care Assistant to join our remote team, specializing in online and chat support. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our users, providing exceptional assistance through various digital channels. You will help buyers and sellers navigate our platform, resolve inquiries, and ensure a positive experience for everyone in the Etsy community. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent written communication, and a passion for helping others in a fast-paced virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via online chat and email, adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive information regarding Etsy policies, features, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues, including order problems, account inquiries, payment questions, and technical difficulties.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior support specialists or other departments when necessary, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering a friendly, helpful, and efficient support experience.
  • Document all customer interactions and resolutions accurately in our CRM system.
  • Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and improve overall customer service processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with product changes, new features, and evolving company policies.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written communication skills with a strong command of English grammar and spelling.
  • Proficiency in navigating multiple computer systems and applications simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to empathize with customers and provide patient, clear, and concise assistance.
  • Experience with online chat platforms and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
