Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Remote Apple Supply Chain Analyst with a strong focus on logistics to join our dynamic team. This is a 100% remote position based in the UK. You will play a crucial role in optimizing the flow of goods across Apple’s complex supply chain, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products. Your expertise in logistics will be vital in identifying bottlenecks, implementing improvements, and contributing to the strategic evolution of our global distribution network. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze complex supply chain data to identify trends, opportunities for optimization, and potential risks within logistics operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve delivery efficiency, reduce transportation costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, manufacturing, sales) and external logistics partners to ensure seamless coordination and execution.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics, reporting on performance and proposing corrective actions as needed.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and optimize shipping routes.
- Identify and resolve logistical challenges, unexpected delays, and other operational issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant international and domestic shipping regulations and company policies.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management on supply chain performance and project status.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in supply chain management with a strong emphasis on logistics and transportation.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of global logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, and customs processes.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of productivity and accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working with Apple's supply chain systems or a similar large-scale global organization.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
