Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Unskilled Farm Workers to join our dedicated team in Blackburn, Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for immediate employment in a vital industry, offering a chance to contribute to the production of high-quality food. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our farm, supporting various tasks to ensure the welfare of our livestock and the efficiency of our processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily feeding and watering of poultry or other livestock.
- Perform routine checks on animal welfare and report any concerns to supervisors.
- Clean and maintain farm buildings, equipment, and surrounding areas.
- Help with farm maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and upkeep of fences or structures.
- Support the preparation of housing for new livestock arrivals.
- Operate basic farm machinery or equipment under supervision, after training.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Participate in general farm labor as directed by the farm manager.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.
