Job Description
Are you a student looking for an exciting outdoor opportunity with great earning potential? Hawaii Kai Golf Course is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Student Golf Caddies. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being outdoors, is physically active, and is eager to learn about the game of golf while providing exceptional service to our players. As a caddy, you will assist golfers with their game, carry golf bags, provide course knowledge, and contribute to a positive and memorable experience on the course. While golf knowledge is a plus, a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important. This position offers a competitive hourly wage complemented by significant tip opportunities, making it an excellent way to earn money while enjoying the beautiful Hawaiian environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry golf bags for 18 holes of play, often multiple times a day.
- Provide accurate yardage and course information to golfers.
- Assist golfers with club selection and course strategy.
- Locate golf balls and maintain the pace of play.
- Clean golf clubs and balls as needed.
- Rake bunkers and replace divots.
- Offer general assistance and positive encouragement to golfers.
- Adhere to all course rules, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Required Skills
- Ability to walk and carry golf bags (up to 30 lbs) for extended periods (4-5 hours) in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
- Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of golf rules and etiquette.
- Previous experience playing golf or caddying.
- Familiarity with the Hawaii Kai Golf Course layout.
