Job Description

As an In-Home Support Aide, you will provide essential non-medical support and companionship to clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life within the comfort of their own homes. Your compassion, reliability, and dedication will be vital in assisting with daily activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and fostering positive relationships with those you serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, tidying living areas, and meal preparation.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities, conversation, and emotional support.
- Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the AccentCare care team regarding client status or concerns.
- Document services provided and client observations accurately.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a home care or healthcare setting (personal or professional).
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Florida.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of basic nutrition and meal preparation for special diets.
