Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Port Logistics Hands. In this vital role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks essential to the smooth operation of port logistics, including cargo handling, material movement, equipment operation, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. This is an on-site position requiring physical stamina and a commitment to teamwork in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload cargo from ships, trucks, and railcars using various equipment and manual methods.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and other heavy machinery as certified and directed.
- Monitor cargo for damage and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Perform general labor tasks, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the work area.
- Adhere strictly to all port safety regulations and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other port personnel.
- Assist with inventory management and tracking of goods.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous physical tasks repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an outdoor, industrial environment.
- Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a port, warehouse, or industrial setting (1+ years).
- Forklift certification or experience operating heavy equipment.
- Valid Class C Driver's License.
- Knowledge of maritime safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, USCG).
