Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Car Haulers to join our elite team based out of our New Port Richey operations. This is a critical role responsible for the safe and timely transport of various types of vehicles across designated routes. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a multi-vehicle car hauler, ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload vehicles efficiently and without damage, utilizing proper securement techniques for various vehicle types (cars, trucks, SUVs, luxury vehicles).
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate logs and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Plan routes effectively, considering traffic, weather, and delivery schedules to ensure on-time arrival.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards to prevent accidents and damage.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading, inspection reports, and expense logs, accurately and on time.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable car hauling experience.
- Proven ability to safely and efficiently load, secure, and unload a variety of vehicles on an auto transport trailer.
- Comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD requirements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to perform duties including climbing, bending, and securing vehicles in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with various types of auto transport trailers (e.g., stinger, lowboy, wedge).
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation management software.
- Proven track record of safe driving and adherence to delivery schedules.
- Customer service-oriented approach when interacting with clients during pick-up and delivery.
