Job Description

Care.com is seeking Professional Sitters to join our network in the Raleigh, NC area. This role involves providing various types of care and support, primarily within families’ homes, tailored to their specific needs. We prioritize safety and trust, which is why all successful candidates will undergo a paid background check as part of our commitment to our families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and engaging care for children, seniors, or individuals with special needs, as per family requirements.
- Follow established routines and schedules, including meal times, nap times, and activity periods.
- Engage in age-appropriate activities, including educational games, outdoor play, and creative arts.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for those under your care.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Adhere to any specific instructions or preferences provided by the family.
- Maintain professionalism and punctuality for all scheduled engagements.
Required Skills
- Proven reliability and punctuality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a safe and nurturing environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Basic understanding of first aid and emergency procedures (certification preferred).
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare, elder care, or care for individuals with special needs.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Relevant education or certifications in early childhood education, nursing, or related fields.
