Job Description

Are you passionate about video games and have a keen eye for detail? Electronic Arts (EA) is looking for enthusiastic Game Testers to join our team in Vancouver for a part-time role, guaranteeing 15-20 hours per week. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the quality assurance of upcoming titles, identifying bugs, glitches, and usability issues to ensure a top-tier gaming experience for players worldwide. You’ll work closely with development teams, providing crucial feedback that shapes the final product. No prior experience is necessary; we’re looking for individuals with a genuine love for gaming and a meticulous approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans and test cases across various game platforms and devices.
  • Identify, reproduce, and accurately report bugs, glitches, and other defects in game software.
  • Provide clear and concise written feedback on gameplay, functionality, and overall user experience.
  • Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Collaborate effectively with QA leads, developers, and other team members.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all testing activities.

Required Skills

  • Strong passion for video games across multiple genres and platforms.
  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely articulate issues, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with standard office software.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in quality assurance or game testing (personal projects count!).
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Knowledge of different gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
  • Basic understanding of game development cycles.
