Job Description

As a Mobile App Payouts Specialist at Chime, you will be on the front lines, ensuring our members experience seamless and timely access to their funds. This critical role involves processing real-time payout requests, investigating discrepancies, and providing exceptional support related to our ‘Work Today, Paid Today’ feature. You’ll work closely with our product and engineering teams to identify system improvements and contribute to a smooth, reliable payout experience for our valued members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and verify mobile app payout requests with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve payout discrepancies, failed transactions, and member inquiries promptly.
  • Monitor payout queues and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Communicate effectively with members regarding their payout status and any issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Member Services, Risk, Engineering) to escalate and resolve complex payment issues.
  • Identify trends in payout issues and suggest improvements to processes and tools.
  • Maintain strict adherence to compliance and regulatory guidelines related to financial transactions.
  • Contribute to documentation and training materials for payout processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in fintech, banking operations, or customer service related to payments.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations (e.g., NACHA rules, KYC/AML).
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Salesforce Service Cloud).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in G Suite or Microsoft Office Suite.
