Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Agrochemical Chemist with a dedicated focus on fertilizer and crop science to join our dynamic R&D team. This role is crucial for developing novel agricultural solutions that enhance crop yield, improve nutrient efficiency, and ensure environmental sustainability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in chemistry, particularly in areas related to nutrient delivery, soil chemistry, and plant physiology, with practical experience in agrochemical formulation and testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced chemical research and experimentation to develop new fertilizer formulations and crop protection agents.
- Analyze the chemical composition and efficacy of new and existing agrochemical products.
- Design and execute experiments to evaluate the impact of fertilizers and crop science products on soil health, nutrient uptake, and crop performance.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of biologists, agronomists, and engineers to integrate chemical findings into holistic agricultural solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures, results, and analyses, preparing comprehensive technical reports and presentations.
- Ensure all research and development activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements, industry trends, and regulatory changes in agrochemicals and crop science.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemistry, Agricultural Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in agrochemical research and development, specifically with fertilizers or crop protection products.
- Proficiency in analytical chemistry techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS, Spectroscopy).
- Strong understanding of soil chemistry, plant nutrition, and nutrient cycling.
- Demonstrated ability to design, execute, and interpret complex experiments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with controlled-release fertilizer technologies or biostimulants.
