Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and vigilant individuals to join our team as a Weekend Crowd Controller for part-time, casual sporting events in Overland Park. As a Crowd Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and positive experience of attendees at various sporting events. This position is ideal for individuals looking for flexible weekend work, who enjoy a dynamic environment and have excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for maintaining order, assisting event-goers, and responding to any issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor assigned areas for potential safety hazards or security breaches.
- Guide and direct crowds, ensuring smooth flow of pedestrian traffic.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and offering assistance to event attendees.
- Enforce event rules and regulations professionally and courteously.
- Identify and report suspicious activities or unauthorized access.
- Respond to incidents such as lost children, medical emergencies, or disruptive behavior.
- Collaborate with security personnel, event staff, and emergency services as needed.
- Assist with entry and exit procedures, including bag checks and ticket scanning when required.
Required Skills
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift light items for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for weekend shifts.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
