Job Description
We are seeking an exceptionally talented and passionate Podcast Audio Producer to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative individual with a keen ear for detail and a deep understanding of audio storytelling. You will be instrumental in bringing captivating podcast content to life, from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring the highest quality sound and engaging listening experiences. While based out of our Austin operations, this role offers full work-from-home flexibility, allowing you to contribute from anywhere. This is a pivotal role in a rapidly expanding sector of our business, offering significant growth potential and the chance to work with some of the most innovative creators in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce, edit, and mix high-quality audio for a variety of podcast series, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with content creators, hosts, and editorial teams to understand vision and execute audio strategy.
- Perform detailed audio clean-up, noise reduction, and mastering to achieve broadcast-ready sound.
- Integrate music, sound effects, and voice-overs seamlessly into episodes.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
- Provide creative input and technical expertise during pre-production, production, and post-production phases.
- Stay current with industry trends, audio technology, and podcasting best practices.
- Archive and manage audio assets efficiently.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic Pro X).
- Strong understanding of audio engineering principles, mixing, and mastering.
- Demonstrated experience in podcast production, including sound design and storytelling.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative remote team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a critical ear for audio quality.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Audio Production, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience working with diverse content genres (e.g., narrative, interview, documentary).
- Familiarity with remote collaboration tools and workflows.
- Portfolio of produced podcast episodes or audio projects.
- Knowledge of current podcast trends and successful formats.
