Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Sterilization Tech with a strong focus on hygiene to join our team part-time. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring all nail care tools and equipment meet stringent sterilization standards, supporting our commitment to client safety and a pristine environment. This position is ideal for someone passionate about cleanliness, organized, and looking to contribute to a thriving wellness center.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of all nail care tools and equipment according to established protocols and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and equipment maintenance.
- Inspect tools for damage or wear and report any issues to management.
- Ensure all sterilization equipment is functioning correctly and performing routine checks.
- Monitor inventory of sterilization supplies and notify management for reordering.
- Keep sterilization areas clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and common areas as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all company hygiene and sanitation policies.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning and sterilization processes.
- Knowledge of sanitation and disinfection protocols, preferably within a salon or spa setting.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain meticulous records.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a sterilization, sanitation, or hygiene-focused role, ideally within a spa, salon, dental office, or medical facility.
- Familiarity with various sterilization methods and equipment (e.g., autoclaves).
- Current certification in infection control or similar relevant training.
