Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Stable Cleaner to join our team for morning shifts. If you have a passion for horses and a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply. This role is crucial for maintaining the health and well-being of our horses by ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic stable environment. You will be an integral part of our daily operations, directly contributing to the comfort and care of our equine residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Mucking out stalls thoroughly and efficiently, ensuring fresh bedding is provided.
- Replenishing hay and water buckets/troughs as needed throughout the morning.
- Cleaning and disinfecting stable equipment, including feed buckets, water troughs, and tools.
- Sweeping and tidying stable aisles, tack rooms, and other common areas.
- Assisting with basic yard duties, such as turning out/bringing in horses, under supervision.
- Monitoring the general health and well-being of horses, reporting any concerns or abnormalities to management immediately.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and bending.
- Reliability and punctuality for early morning shifts.
- A genuine love, respect, and affinity for horses and animals.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a valued member of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with horses or in a stable environment.
- Basic knowledge of horse care and stable management practices.
- Ability to handle horses safely and calmly (e.g., leading, tying).
