Job Description
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) looking to make a meaningful impact? BrightStar Care Fort Wayne is seeking caring individuals to join our team, providing essential in-home support to clients. In this role, you will assist clients with activities of daily living, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. We understand the importance of your safety and professionalism, which is why we provide all necessary professional uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE). Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide support with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, ensuring client safety.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as tidying living areas and laundry.
- Provide medication reminders as directed by the care plan.
- Engage clients in stimulating activities and provide companionship.
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status or behavior to the nursing supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients.
- Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in Indiana.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in a home care or healthcare setting (minimum 3 months).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with client care.
