Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and vigilant Weekend Site Marshall for our construction projects in North Las Vegas. This part-time role focuses on ensuring site safety and smooth operations during morning shifts on weekends. You will be the primary point of contact for site access, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and assisting with general site organization. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking an entry-level position in construction safety, offering valuable experience in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control site access for personnel and vehicles during weekend morning shifts.
- Ensure all visitors and workers adhere to site safety regulations and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Direct pedestrian and vehicle traffic safely within and around the construction site.
- Conduct basic visual inspections of the site for potential hazards and report findings to the site supervisor.
- Assist with the proper placement and maintenance of safety barriers, signage, and cones.
- Maintain a log of site entries and exits, including visitor information.
- Communicate effectively with site personnel and the public regarding safety procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Reliable and punctual, especially for weekend morning shifts.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety principles (can be learned on job).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction environment or a safety-related role.
- OSHA 10-hour Construction certification.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
