Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Apple Records Management Specialist to support our federal agency clients. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and maintaining critical records within Apple environments, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and internal policies. You will work closely with agency personnel to develop, implement, and optimize records management strategies tailored to Apple systems and workflows. This position requires a strong understanding of both Apple operating systems and federal records management principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement records management policies and procedures specific to Apple devices and ecosystems.
  • Manage the lifecycle of electronic and physical records, including creation, maintenance, use, and disposition, in compliance with federal guidelines (e.g., NARA, DoD 5015.2).
  • Provide expert guidance and training to federal agency staff on best practices for Apple records management.
  • Perform regular audits and assessments of records systems to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to records access, storage, and retrieval on Apple platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure the secure handling and storage of sensitive federal records.
  • Stay current with evolving Apple technologies, federal records management regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Assist in the development of records retention schedules for Apple-generated data and documents.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in records management, preferably within a federal agency or government contracting environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Apple macOS and iOS operating systems, including file management and system settings.
  • Familiarity with federal records management regulations (e.g., NARA, Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act).
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to records management challenges.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if required by client).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications in Records Management (e.g., CRM) or Apple IT certifications (e.g., ACMT).
  • Experience with enterprise content management (ECM) systems integrated with Apple environments.
  • Understanding of data privacy and security best practices relevant to federal data.
  • Previous experience working directly with or for federal government agencies.
