Job Description
Are you handy with tools and looking for a flexible, seasonal opportunity this summer? Lowe’s Home Improvement in Provo, UT is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Patio Set Assemblers. In this role, you’ll be responsible for efficiently and accurately assembling a variety of outdoor furniture and related products, ensuring they meet our high-quality standards before reaching our customers. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has an eye for detail, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment during our peak summer season. No prior professional assembly experience is required – we’ll provide the necessary guidance!
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble various patio furniture, grills, sheds, and other outdoor living products according to manufacturer instructions.
- Perform quality checks on assembled items to ensure structural integrity, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks.
- Manage time efficiently to meet daily assembly targets and contribute to overall store productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Assist with moving and staging assembled products as needed within the store.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in furniture assembly or general handyman work.
- Customer service experience in a retail setting.
- Valid driver's license.
- Familiarity with Lowe's products and services.
