Job Description
Are you looking for flexible work that fits around your life? Deliveroo is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Delivery Riders to join our team in Newland, Kingston upon Hull. As a Delivery Rider, you’ll be responsible for picking up food orders from local restaurants and delivering them efficiently to hungry customers in your area. This role offers the freedom to choose your own hours and earn competitive weekly pay, all while using your own scooter or bike.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver food orders from various restaurants to customers within the designated delivery zone.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Manage delivery times to ensure food arrives fresh and hot.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions.
- Use the Deliveroo rider app to accept orders, navigate routes, and track deliveries.
- Maintain your own scooter or bike in good working condition.
Required Skills
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Access to your own scooter or bike and appropriate safety gear.
- Valid driving license/provisional license and CBT (if using a scooter/motorcycle).
- Smartphone with a data plan.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Friendly and customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to navigate using mapping applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or courier role is a plus, but not essential.
- Good knowledge of the local area (Newland and surrounding Kingston upon Hull districts).
