Job Description
Are you a college student in Davenport looking for a flexible part-time job that fits around your academic schedule? Walmart Distribution Center is hiring Student Warehouse Associates! Key Responsibilities
- Perform general warehouse duties, including receiving, sorting, picking, packing, and shipping products.
- Accurately scan and track inventory using handheld devices or computer systems.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, both manually and with equipment (after training).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
- Assist with inventory counts and quality control checks as needed.
- Operate various types of warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) upon successful completion of training and certification.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Enrollment in a college or university program.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus, but not required.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift) is a plus (certification provided).
- Basic computer literacy.
