Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Solar Panel Cleaning Specialist to join our growing team in Sacramento. This role is critical in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our residential solar installations. As a specialist, you will be responsible for the safe and effective cleaning of solar panels, primarily on rooftops. This position demands a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work comfortably at heights in various weather conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Safely access and work on residential rooftops to clean solar panels.
- Utilize specialized cleaning equipment and techniques to remove dirt, dust, pollen, and other debris from solar arrays.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, including fall protection and ladder safety procedures.
- Inspect solar panels for any signs of damage or issues during the cleaning process and report findings.
- Maintain and care for cleaning equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job status and potential challenges.
- Provide exceptional service while representing Sunrun professionally at all times.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for each job.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly to and from job sites.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work safely and comfortably at heights on various roof types.
- Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols for rooftop work.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in solar installation, maintenance, or panel cleaning.
- Experience with general construction or outdoor physical labor.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Basic knowledge of solar panel systems and their operation.
- Comfortable using ladders and other access equipment.
