Job Description
Are you passionate about video games and have a keen eye for detail? Take-Two Interactive is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as a Direct Hire Game Tester. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with our development teams, not through a staffing agency, and contribute to the quality of upcoming titles. As a Game Tester, you will play a crucial role in identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs and glitches, ensuring an exceptional gaming experience for our players.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and test cases thoroughly to identify software defects.
- Document bugs clearly and concisely, including steps to reproduce, severity, and impact.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and other QA team members to resolve issues.
- Perform regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure no new issues are introduced.
- Provide constructive feedback on game design, usability, and overall player experience.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of game features and testing methodologies.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for video games and an understanding of various game genres.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with office software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to identifying issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance or testing role (professional or volunteer).
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Experience with different gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Knowledge of various QA methodologies and testing types (functional, performance, usability).
