Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Oklahoma City. This role is crucial in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care and service. The ideal candidate will assist with prescription processing, inventory management, patient communication, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Process patient prescriptions, including entering patient information and prescription details into the computer system.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their prescriptions, insurance information, and general inquiries.
  • Handle cash register transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy workstation.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with immunization clinics and other pharmacy services as needed.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license or registration with the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (e.g., PTCB or NHA)
  • Experience with pharmacy management software systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
