Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team at our New Port Richey logistics center. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring the efficient flow of oil tools and equipment, and supporting our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking inventory, playing a vital part in our supply chain efficiency. This is a day shift position within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming inventory items, verifying quantities against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Accurately record inventory data using an inventory management system (IMS) and maintain organized physical and digital records.
  • Store items in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper labeling and accessibility.
  • Issue tools and equipment to internal departments or for outbound shipments, accurately documenting all transactions.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
  • Identify and report damaged, defective, or obsolete inventory items.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (certification preferred).
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff, procurement, and operations teams to optimize inventory processes.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with inventory management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory control role, preferably within the oil & gas or heavy industrial sector.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with SAP or similar inventory systems.
  • Knowledge of common oilfield tools and equipment.
