Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Audio Care Representative to join our team in Long Beach, CA. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of our clinic, serving as the first point of contact for patients and providing essential administrative and patient support. You will play a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience, managing schedules, handling inquiries, and supporting our audiologists and hearing care specialists in delivering exceptional care. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and follow-ups efficiently.
  • Greet patients warmly, assist with check-ins, and ensure a comfortable waiting area.
  • Handle incoming calls, answer patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Process patient intake forms, maintain accurate electronic health records, and ensure data privacy.
  • Assist with basic office administration tasks, including filing, inventory management of supplies, and maintaining clinic cleanliness.
  • Educate patients on hearing aid care, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Process payments, verify insurance information, and handle billing inquiries.
  • Collaborate with audiologists and hearing care specialists to optimize clinic flow and patient care.
  • Support promotional activities and patient outreach efforts as needed.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Demonstrated empathy and a patient-first approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or administrative roles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a medical office, particularly in audiology or optometry.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes.
  • Familiarity with hearing aid technology or basic ear anatomy.
