Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Member Service Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping others and eager to start or grow their career in financial services within a supportive management structure. You will be the primary point of contact for our members, assisting them with their financial needs, resolving inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience with every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist members with account inquiries, transactions, and product information.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other financial transactions accurately.
- Identify member needs and recommend appropriate credit union products and services.
- Resolve member issues and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about all credit union products, services, and policies.
- Adhere to all regulatory compliance and security procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and management to achieve branch goals.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and balance a till.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience, especially in a financial institution.
- Knowledge of banking or credit union products and services.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other relevant languages).
