Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Shopping Basket Sanitizer to join our retail maintenance team in Warrington. This entry-level position is crucial for ensuring a safe and hygienic shopping experience for all our customers. You will be responsible for the thorough cleaning and sanitization of shopping baskets, trolleys, and other customer-facing equipment, playing a vital role in maintaining our high standards of store cleanliness. Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular and thorough sanitization of all shopping baskets, trolleys, and other handheld shopping aids.
- Maintain cleanliness of sanitization stations and associated equipment.
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and report needs to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols and guidelines.
- Assist with general store tidiness and maintenance tasks as required.
- Report any damaged equipment or safety concerns promptly to management.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 10kg.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, cleaning, or hospitality environment is a plus.
- Awareness of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
- A proactive approach to identifying and addressing cleaning needs.
