Job Description

Electronic Arts (EA) is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic QA Intern to join our EA Sports team for a paid vacation placement. You’ll play a crucial role in identifying, documenting, and testing defects, directly impacting the player experience of millions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans and test cases across various EA Sports titles and platforms.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using internal bug tracking systems.
  • Verify bug fixes and ensure the resolution of reported issues.
  • Provide clear, concise, and detailed reports on testing progress and findings.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams, designers, and other QA testers.
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing methodologies and processes.
  • Participate in daily team meetings and stand-ups.

Required Skills

  • Strong passion for video games, especially sports titles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of software testing principles (e.g., bug reporting, test case execution).
  • Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program related to Computer Science, Game Design, or a relevant field.
  • Prior experience with game testing (personal projects, beta testing, etc.).
  • Familiarity with various gaming platforms (PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch).
  • Experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
