Job Description
Join Bupa’s dedicated team as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and make a real difference in the lives of individuals within the Marylebone community. We are seeking compassionate and reliable individuals for flexible part-time or full-time contract positions. As an HHA, you will provide essential support and care to clients in their homes, enabling them to maintain independence and a high quality of life. This role offers the flexibility to fit your lifestyle while providing meaningful work within a supportive healthcare environment. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, personal care, medication reminders, and companionship, ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and respectful personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and feeding as needed.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with self-administration where appropriate.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in client's health, behavior, or environment to the care supervisor.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
- Adhere to all Bupa policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in home health care, personal care, or a similar caregiving role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and move clients safely (training provided).
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
- First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience working with clients with diverse needs (e.g., dementia, physical disabilities).
- Clean driving license and access to a vehicle (preferred but not essential).
