Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Retail Finance Clerk to join our team in New Port Richey, FL. This is a full-time position with a consistent Monday-Friday day shift schedule, offering excellent work-life balance. As a Retail Finance Clerk, you will be instrumental in supporting the daily financial operations of our branch, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions and record-keeping. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a structured environment and possess strong organizational and numerical skills. You will be a key point of contact for internal inquiries related to financial data and support the overall smooth functioning of the retail finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily financial transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
- Maintain meticulous financial records, ensuring all data is current and compliant with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Reconcile daily cash and check transactions, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Assist with end-of-day closing procedures, including balancing accounts and preparing reports.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department, including filing, data entry, and document management.
- Communicate effectively with team members and internal departments regarding financial inquiries and data.
- Adhere strictly to all internal controls, security procedures, and compliance guidelines.
- Manage and organize financial documents, ensuring easy retrieval and proper archiving.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a retail, banking, or administrative finance role.
- Knowledge of banking software or financial management systems.
