Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Security Chat Annotator with a strong focus on Cyber Safety. In this crucial remote role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the safety and security of our online platforms by meticulously reviewing and annotating chat conversations. Your work will directly contribute to training AI models, improving content moderation systems, and identifying potential online threats, ensuring a safer digital environment for users worldwide. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a global impact from your home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and annotate a high volume of chat conversations, identifying sensitive content, security risks, and violations of safety policies.
- Categorize and label data with precision and consistency according to established guidelines and taxonomies.
- Identify emerging safety trends, potential abuse patterns, and malicious activities within chat interactions.
- Provide detailed, accurate feedback and insights to improve annotation guidelines and enhance AI model performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and policy experts, to refine safety protocols.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to data privacy regulations while handling sensitive information.
- Participate in calibration sessions and ongoing training to ensure alignment and consistency in annotation efforts.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to analyze complex information and make sound judgments, especially concerning online safety and security.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and categorization.
- Strong understanding of online safety principles, cyber threats, and ethical considerations in digital communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- High level of integrity and discretion when dealing with sensitive content.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Linguistics, Criminology, Cybersecurity, Psychology).
- 1-2 years of experience in content moderation, data annotation, or a similar role focused on online safety.
- Familiarity with various online communication platforms and their associated risks.
- Experience with annotation tools and large datasets.
- Knowledge of multiple languages is a plus.
