Job Description

As a Bank Teller at Truist, you will be the face of our branch, providing exceptional customer service and handling various banking transactions with accuracy and efficiency. This role is crucial for building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring a positive experience with every interaction. We are specifically seeking individuals who are fluent in both Spanish and English to better serve our diverse community, and we offer a bonus for this valuable bilingual skill. You will process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other transactions, assist clients with account inquiries, and identify opportunities to introduce them to other Truist products and services. A strong commitment to client satisfaction, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential for success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process client transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers.
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer by adhering to established cash handling procedures.
  • Identify client needs and proactively refer them to appropriate bank partners for additional products and services (e.g., loans, investments).
  • Educate clients on digital banking solutions and self-service options.
  • Resolve client inquiries and issues professionally and effectively, escalating complex situations when necessary.
  • Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a positive and welcoming branch environment.
  • Assist with branch opening and closing procedures as needed.

Required Skills

  • Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a cash handling or customer service role
  • Prior banking or financial services experience
