Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Admin Assistant to join our dynamic team within a busy hospital environment in Cicero, IL. This vital role involves supporting the administrative functions of patient care, ensuring smooth operations and providing exceptional service to patients and their families. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate individual with strong communication skills and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and registration processes accurately.
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments as required.
  • Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries, and provide information to patients and staff.
  • Process patient admissions, transfers, and discharges efficiently.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
  • Handle general office duties, including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
  • Address patient concerns and provide solutions or escalate issues appropriately.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
