Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking Student Yard Workers to join our team for seasonal manual labor at our Fargo location. This temporary position offers immediate start and provides valuable experience in a fast-paced retail environment. Ideal for students looking for flexible hours and competitive cash payouts, you will assist with various outdoor tasks, ensuring our store grounds are well-maintained and customer-ready. No prior experience is required—we provide on-the-job training and a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general yard maintenance tasks including mowing, weeding, raking, and watering.
- Assist with loading and unloading of outdoor merchandise and supplies, such as lumber, pavers, and garden products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of outdoor areas, including parking lots, garden centers, and merchandise displays.
- Support staff with setting up and taking down seasonal displays and promotions.
- Operate basic landscaping equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with yard work, landscaping, or manual labor is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills.
- Good communication skills.
