Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Remote Public Policy Researcher to join our dynamic Public Sector Advisory team. This 100% remote position offers flexible working hours, allowing you to manage your schedule effectively while contributing to high-impact public policy projects across the UK. You will play a crucial role in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to inform policy recommendations and strategic advice for government bodies and public institutions. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive primary and secondary research on various public policy issues.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify key trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and presentations summarizing research findings and policy implications.
- Contribute to the development of evidence-based policy recommendations for clients.
- Collaborate with senior consultants and project managers on diverse engagements.
- Stay abreast of current policy debates, legislative changes, and research methodologies.
- Participate in stakeholder interviews and workshops as required.
- Manage multiple research tasks and projects concurrently, adhering to deadlines.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in public policy research, economic research, or social science research.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of distilling complex information into clear and concise outputs.
- Proficiency in research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, or a related field.
- Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, Stata).
- Prior experience working with government agencies, think tanks, or consulting firms in a policy context.
- Familiarity with UK public policy landscape and institutions.
