Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Fertility Nurse (RN) with a strong focus on In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) to join our professional team in Roseville, CA. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, education, and support throughout the fertility treatment journey. This role requires excellent clinical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to fertility patients undergoing IVF cycles, including medication teaching, injection training, and procedure preparation.
- Coordinate patient appointments, diagnostic testing, and treatment schedules.
- Assist physicians with in-office procedures such as egg retrievals, embryo transfers, and hysteroscopies.
- Educate patients on fertility treatments, medications, protocols, and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor patient progress, interpret lab results (hormone levels), and communicate findings to physicians.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and their partners during what can be an emotionally challenging time.
- Ensure compliance with all clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA).
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training pertinent to reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Required Skills
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IVF clinic or reproductive endocrinology setting
- Strong knowledge of fertility medications, protocols, and procedures
- Excellent venipuncture and injection skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, patient-centered environment
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Nursing (REI)
- Experience with ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) procedures
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a plus
