Job Description
Are you a responsible and kind-hearted 13-year-old with a passion for animals? Pawsitive Pals Pet Sitting is looking for an enthusiastic Pet Sitter to help care for our furry clients in New Port Richey. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to gain real-world experience, earn some pocket money, and spend your afternoons with adorable pets! No prior paid experience is required – just a genuine love for animals and a willingness to learn. You’ll be assisting with daily pet care routines, ensuring our animal friends are happy, safe, and loved. This role offers flexible afternoon hours, perfect for after school.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with feeding and providing fresh water for pets according to owner instructions.
- Engage pets in playtime and provide companionship.
- Walk dogs on leashes in safe neighborhoods.
- Scoop litter boxes and clean up after pets as needed.
- Report any unusual pet behavior or concerns to a supervising adult/parent.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all animals under your care.
- Follow all instructions provided by pet owners and supervising adults.
Required Skills
- Genuine love and respect for animals.
- Reliability and punctuality for scheduled visits.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Good communication skills (with adult supervision).
- Comfortable working independently and outdoors.
- Must be 13 years old and have parental/guardian consent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience caring for personal pets (dogs, cats, small animals).
- Knowledge of basic pet care (e.g., leash walking, gentle handling).
- Familiarity with the New Port Richey area.
