Job Description

Messenger Coffee Co. in Westport is searching for an enthusiastic Barista Trainee to join our dynamic team! Key Responsibilities
- Learn and master the preparation of various coffee and espresso drinks according to Messenger Coffee Co. standards.
- Operate coffee equipment, including espresso machines and grinders, under supervision.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and welcoming service to all customers.
- Assist with taking customer orders and processing payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including workstations, dining areas, and restrooms.
- Stock and replenish supplies as needed.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and enjoyable customer experience.
- Embrace a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills daily.
Required Skills
- Must be 16 years of age.
- Strong desire to learn about coffee and the cafe industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school student currently enrolled or pursuing a GED.
- Prior experience in customer service (e.g., volunteer work, school events) is a plus but not required.
- Genuine enthusiasm for coffee and local community engagement.
