Job Description
Benefis Health System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Anesthesiologist to join our dynamic medical team in Great Falls, Montana. You will work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer general, regional, and local anesthetics to patients undergoing surgical, obstetrical, and diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and physiological functions during anesthesia.
- Develop and implement anesthesia care plans, adjusting as necessary based on patient response.
- Provide pre-operative evaluation and post-operative care, including pain management.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize patient care and safety.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
Required Skills
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Anesthesiology.
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program.
- Current unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in Montana.
- Demonstrated clinical excellence and commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fellowship training in a subspecialty (e.g., Cardiac Anesthesia, Pediatric Anesthesia, Pain Management).
- Experience working in a community hospital setting.
- A track record of leadership or participation in quality improvement projects.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
