Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Banking Compliance Auditor to join our team in Ventura, CA. In this secure professional environment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations adhere to all relevant banking laws, regulations, and internal policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute compliance audits across various banking operations and departments.
  • Identify, document, and report instances of non-compliance with banking laws, regulations (e.g., BSA/AML, Dodd-Frank, GLBA), and internal policies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and follow up on audit recommendations.
  • Stay updated with changes in banking regulations and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with legal, risk management, and operational teams to ensure a unified approach to compliance.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance requirements.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in banking compliance, internal audit, or risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state banking regulations (e.g., BSA, AML, Fair Lending, TILA, RESPA).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a secure environment.
  • High level of integrity and professional ethics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
  • Experience with audit management software.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
