Key Responsibilities
- Assist dentists and hygienists during various dental procedures, from routine exams to complex treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterile and readily available.
- Greet and prepare patients for dental treatment, making them feel comfortable and informed.
- Learn to take and develop dental X-rays under supervision, adhering to safety protocols.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new stock as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs provided by the company.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety standards.
- Perform basic laboratory procedures, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong desire to learn and grow within the dental field.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for record-keeping and scheduling.
- Demonstrated empathy and a patient-first attitude.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience in any field.
- Familiarity with medical or dental terminology (a plus, but not required).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or willingness to obtain it immediately.
- Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish, due to our diverse patient base.
