Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and organized EA Sports Digital Sorter to join our dynamic team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be crucial in managing and organizing a vast array of digital assets related to our EA Sports titles. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the accurate application of metadata and efficient uploading of content into our proprietary systems. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for sports, and a strong understanding of digital asset management principles. You will contribute directly to the quality and accessibility of content that powers our world-renowned sports games.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort, tag, and categorize digital assets (images, videos, audio, game data, etc.) according to established metadata guidelines.
- Apply comprehensive metadata to all digital content, ensuring consistency and adherence to nomenclature standards for EA Sports titles.
- Upload and manage digital assets within internal content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management (DAM) platforms.
- Perform quality checks on uploaded content and metadata to identify and correct any discrepancies or errors.
- Collaborate with game development, marketing, and localization teams to understand content requirements and ensure timely asset delivery.
- Maintain and update documentation related to metadata standards and asset management workflows.
- Assist in the migration of legacy data and assets to new systems as needed.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of metadata and asset management processes.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in digital asset management (DAM) or content management systems (CMS).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with metadata concepts and taxonomy.
- Basic understanding of file formats (e.g., JPG, PNG, MP4, WAV, XML).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A passion for video games and sports, especially EA Sports titles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Systems, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Previous experience with sports data or entertainment media assets.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data manipulation is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
