Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented FedEx Claims Processor – Insurance & Shipping Admin to join our team in Charleston, SC. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, processing, and resolving claims related to FedEx shipments, including damages, losses, and billing discrepancies. This position requires strong administrative skills, an understanding of shipping processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external carriers to ensure timely and accurate claim resolution. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate, process, and track FedEx claims for lost, damaged, or misrouted shipments from submission to resolution.
- Investigate claim validity by reviewing shipping documentation, delivery confirmations, and carrier policies.
- Communicate effectively with FedEx representatives, customers, and internal departments regarding claim status and required documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims, including supporting evidence, communications, and resolution details.
- Analyze claim data to identify trends and recommend preventative measures to reduce future claim occurrences.
- Process and reconcile shipping invoices, identifying and disputing discrepancies as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the shipping and logistics department, including data entry and report generation.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant shipping regulations.
Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
- Previous experience with FedEx shipping systems or other carrier platforms
- Prior experience in claims processing, administrative support, or a related role
- Familiarity with insurance claims procedures related to shipping
