Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cross-Dock Associate to join our fast-paced logistics hub in Boulder, Colorado. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of packages and freight through our facility. As a Cross-Dock Associate, you will be responsible for unloading incoming shipments, sorting packages, and loading outgoing trucks, all within a dynamic and deadline-driven environment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently unload incoming freight and packages from trailers using appropriate equipment.
- Accurately sort and stage packages based on destination and routing instructions.
- Load outgoing trailers with sorted freight, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure placement.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively (training provided).
- Perform routine quality checks on packages for damage and proper labeling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 75 lbs consistently.
- Capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting and scanning.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or cross-dock environment.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
- Familiarity with scanning technology and inventory systems.
