Job Description
Join Nintendo of America’s dedicated Quality Assurance (QA) team as a Game Tester in our Pasco facility. This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of quality assurance for upcoming and beloved Nintendo titles. You will be responsible for meticulously testing games, identifying bugs, and providing detailed feedback to development teams. Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and test cases thoroughly to ensure game quality and functionality across various platforms.
- Identify, document, and track software defects (bugs) using internal bug tracking systems with clear and concise descriptions.
- Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback on gameplay, usability, and overall player experience.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved completely and do not introduce new regressions.
- Collaborate effectively with development, design, and other QA teams to achieve project goals.
- Adhere to established testing methodologies, project timelines, and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for video games and an understanding of various gaming genres.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify subtle inconsistencies and defects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting bugs and collaborating with teams.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with bug tracking software (or quick to learn new tools).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a QA or game testing role, even if informal.
- Familiarity with Nintendo platforms and first-party titles.
- Knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with different gaming platforms (consoles, PC, mobile).
