Job Description
Join Pella Windows and Doors as a Glazier / Window Installer and become a vital part of our dedicated team in Seattle, WA. You will be responsible for the precise measurement, cutting, fitting, and installation of glass and windows in various residential and commercial settings, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, fit, and install various types of glass and window units in frames, sashes, or other building areas.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and efficiently for cutting glass, assembling frames, and preparing surfaces.
- Inspect work sites to determine the type and quantity of materials required and verify measurements.
- Caulk, seal, and glaze frames to prevent water or air leakage.
- Ensure all installations comply with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and properly store tools and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service during on-site interactions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in glazing, window installation, or a related construction trade.
- Proficiency in using glazing tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and installations.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor, lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols in a construction environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or certification in glazing or construction.
- Experience with different types of window systems (e.g., vinyl, wood, fiberglass).
- Knowledge of energy-efficient glazing techniques.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
