Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Google Account Auditor to join our remote team. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and financial integrity of client accounts managed through Google platforms. You will be responsible for in-depth analysis of advertising spend, revenue recognition, compliance with financial policies, and identifying discrepancies to optimize performance and mitigate risk. This is a 100% remote position, offering significant flexibility and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge digital financial data and audit methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of Google advertising accounts (e.g., Google Ads, Google Analytics) to verify financial accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze advertising spend, campaign performance data, and billing records to identify discrepancies and ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Evaluate internal controls and financial processes related to Google account management, recommending improvements where necessary.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and evidence to support conclusions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to address audit findings and facilitate corrective actions.
- Stay updated with Google's policies, advertising guidelines, and industry best practices in digital finance and auditing.
- Provide expert advice on financial accuracy and compliance within the Google ecosystem.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in financial auditing or accounting, with a focus on digital platforms or online advertising.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain high productivity in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Direct experience with Google Ads, Google Analytics, or other major digital advertising platforms.
- Knowledge of IFRS or GAAP accounting principles.
- Prior experience working in a professional services firm or large corporate audit department.
