Job Description

As a Google User Experience Aide specializing in Interface Testing, WFH, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and usability of our digital products. This is a remote, full-time position where you will work collaboratively with our UX/UI design and development teams to identify, document, and track interface issues. You will contribute to creating seamless and intuitive experiences, adhering to best practices and potentially Google’s Material Design guidelines. Your attention to detail and passion for user experience will be vital in delivering high-quality, user-friendly applications that meet our users’ needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive user interface tests across various platforms and devices.
  • Document findings, bugs, and usability issues with clear, concise reports.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of test plans and scenarios based on design specifications.
  • Gather, organize, and synthesize user feedback from testing sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and developers to ensure design intent and functionality are met.
  • Help ensure digital products align with established UX principles and accessibility standards.
  • Participate in usability studies and contribute to analyzing results.
  • Stay informed about current UX trends, testing methodologies, and Google UX best practices.

Required Skills

  • Familiarity with fundamental UX/UI design principles and usability best practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for inconsistencies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of software testing processes and bug reporting.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote team environment.
  • Proficiency with common office productivity software (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with UX/UI testing tools or bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Trello, Figma).
  • Basic knowledge of accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG).
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Google Material Design guidelines or other design systems.
